Getting his start
Eric Collins grew up in Las Vegas and moved to Joplin, Missouri when he was nine. He started working with his hands early, building small shops alongside his dad before he was even out of his teens.
There was no college fund and no safety net — just a big family and a reason to get moving.
Building the business
He has been in the trades since he was 17 and running Collins Brothers Remodeling on his own for the last three years. The name comes from his brother, who Eric always planned to bring into the business.
These days his dad works right beside him — he left his own job to come help once Eric moved up to Raymore. Eric is a gearhead at heart and also does commercial glass installation, so there is not much around a house he has not figured out how to fix.
Where we work today
Collins Brothers Remodeling works out of Raymore and serves the Kansas City area. Every job gets handled by the people whose name is on the truck.
